THURSDAY, Dec. 6, 2018 -- Despite three decades of declines in secondhand smoke exposure, 58 million Americans -- children included -- are still breathing in tobacco fumes, federal health officials reported Thursday.
Nearly 40 percent of children aged 3 to 11 are exposed to secondhand smoke, as are nearly 50 percent of the poor and almost 40 percent of people living in apartments, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
FRIDAY, Nov. 2, 2018 -- An "alarming" number of American parents save unused antibiotics and give them to family members and other people, a new study finds.
This type of misuse helps fuel antibiotic resistance, the study authors said. Their report is scheduled for presentation Monday in Orlando, Fla., at the national conference of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
